Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Punchy dried apricot, sweet and slightly briny, thick vanilla custard that almost leans into New York cheesecake. Almond and heather.
Palate: A rich mouthfeel, lightly smoked with crème fraiche and sandalwood. Toasted waffles, rubber tyres and hazelnut, with just a hint of peppermint and ginger spice.
Finish: Ginger warmth with lingering creamy smoke notes.
Comment: A sweet and smoky treat.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Very, very delicate. Icing sugar and honey water, some green apple and faint malty notes. A little cream cheese, too.
Palate: Light bodied. Spirit forward. Closed at first, it opens up a little on the palate to deliver a touch of honey, vanilla sponge, white sesame, and applesauce.
Finish: Medium length. Apple skin and icing sugar.
Comment: One might call this ‘reposado’ whisky. The spirit is clean, bright and present, but it’s very restrained.
