Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Like a ploughmans lunch with Branston pickle, served on a freshly cut oak slice.
Palate: Nutmeg, cardamom and vanilla lead to some earthy notes of mahogany and polish.
Finish: Lots more earthy tones and plenty of body. Powerful and lingering.
Comment: Lime pickle and oak give a nice level of attitude to this dram.
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Very unusual, almost like a hickory smoked mandarin liqueur. Coconut milk, creamy mash potato and milky breakfast cereal. Altogether very silky and chocolatey.
Palate: A blast of dried spice tingles first, with anise, clove and nutmeg, coupled with sour cherries, a touch of dark chocolate and some blood orange zest.
Finish: Earthy tobacco notes lead to a lingering dryness from the oak.
Comment: Dryer and perhaps more citrus-laden than its siblings.
