Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Smoked hickory, apple juice, hard caramel and marzipan. Surprisingly elegant and refined.
Palate: A little dusty at first, but the fruit soon overwhelms this, with ripe nectarine, passion fruit, and a very earthy streak. Given time, a creamy, slightly vegetative note develops, with a spicy cereal note.
Finish: Black pepper, a mossy note, some honeyed tones and some charred wood linger on the palate.
Comment: Personality is the key word here and this has plenty.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Smoked bacon cured in maple syrup, fresh pine and, well, more maple syrup!
Palate: Indian spice notes give this a very eastern feel.
Finish: Slight hints of mouldy wood and liquorice. Dry.
Comment: Good, but a little overcooked.
