Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Deep and honeyed with a mature nose surprising for its stated age. Dryamontillado, maltiness, increasingly fruity before an aroma like a steaming, damp kilt emerges.
Palate: Sweet, nutty, dried fruits, toffee. Has presence and with great length.
Finish: Gingerbread.
Comment: What was already a very fine (if underrated) 12yo has been given greater depth with a bump up in strength and non chill filtering. It's now one of the best on the market.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky with a touch of sulphur. Wet cellar, hot rubber. Fern. Opening onfruity notes. Sultanas, orange peel. Crab apples. Spices unwind slowly.
Palate: Smooth at first then the oak holds the taste buds in a grippy embrace. Bitterchocolate then a sweet note and back to astringency again.
Finish: Dry, tight, astringent, spicy.
Comment: Wood is overwhelming, especially on the palate. Water does not help at all.Lacks balance and charm.
