Tasting notes
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Brown sugar and treacle cake, furniture polish and oily smoked fish, ginger spice and tea rose, then brandy snaps, gently sulphur and spent matches.
Palate: Apple pie with brown sugar, then the spices kick in with cinnamon and ginger spice, and after fresh oak and stewed plums.
Finish: Prickly ginger spice and puckering tannins too.
Comment: Lovely. A super balance of light smoke, good wood integration, sweet fruity notes and gorgeous spice as well.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Salt-laden, hay barns and damp oak. Earthy with bramble patches next to the sea. A little floral edge, then boiled samphire.
Palate: Sweet, honey and milk chocolate. Then a little gentle smoke with bracken fires rises. Melon and ham. Bitter tea tannins, brown paper bags with salt and chilli prawns.
Finish: Tingly with salt and an oyster freshness. Then the tannins come in slowly.
Comment: Like eating those bags of salt and sweet chilli prawns on the beach.
