Tasting notes

Taster Arthur Motley

Nose: Vanilla ice cream, milk bottle chews, sultana bran, dried coconut. With time grassiness, and a farmyard whiff.
Palate: Mouth filling and malty, with a shake of spice.
Finish: Woody, drying and with complex bitterness of quality dark chocolate.
Comment: A bold spirit, tempered by well-timed maturation. A little flat to be truly great.

Taster Owen Barstow

Nose: Traces of caramel and fudge at first, with developing oily (metal polish?) notes.
Palate: Lightly oily. Digestive biscuits. Toffees and toffee apples. Mint.
Finish: A warming, and curiously more-ish finish.
Comment: Not a big whisky, but comforting.
