Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Fresh blackberries, raspberries and cranberries. Toasted tea cake with burnt crust, gingerbread and brewed Ceylon tea. Orange oils, beeswax and wholemeal bread.
Palate: Light bodied. Orange cake, golden syrup, flapjack, and white chocolate. Candied apple pieces, gingerbread and black tea with honey and milk. Slightly ashy.
Finish: Long. Roasted chestnut, sultana, and Pink Lady apple.
Comment: Intensely fruity.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Sweet smokiness, like you’ve blown out a sandalwood candle, followed by an orange polenta cake with caramel drizzle, red berry compote and cinnamon spice.
Palate: The delicate smoke note has become earthy sweet peat, sweetened by more of the stewed red berries. Lingering toasted oak spice and caramel.
Finish: Fruit cake notes, with the return of the sandalwood candle smoke.
Comment: Full of character and well-balanced. The smoke is beautifully woven among the sweet and spiced notes.
