Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Dark amber. Quite dry and woody with hints of hickory, candied fruit and some lemony rye zestiness.
Palate: Sweet smouldering hickory notes to start. Some burnt sugar/treacle mid-palate before a bite of rye freshens it up-fairly high wood.
Finish: Ripe, full with some smoked tea. Wood.
Comment: A little woody and young.

Nose: Vanilla. Charcoal. Woody.
Palate: Sweet, sugary, malty, chewy, creamy.
Finish: Gingery and hot. Woody.
Comment: Just too woody for me, though a good splash of water brings out the other flavours.
