Tasting notes

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Blooming gorse, aloe vera, matcha powder and blossom honey. Fresh peach and pencil shavings. A little bread dough.
Palate: Medium-full. Concentrated tropical fruits, especially ripe pineapple and papaya. Chamomile tea with honey and lemon. Honeydew melon, a touch green. Subtle menthol. Some tart cherry and dried lemon notes.
Finish: Long, on those chamomile and melon notes.
Comment: Ignore the ABV. This is beautifully flavourful and mature.

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Pain au raisin, with lovely buttery pastry. Then it’s stem ginger biscuits covered in dark chocolate, and citrus zest.
Palate: More of the dark fruit from the pastry, followed by melted chocolate over vanilla ice cream and slices of dried orange.
Finish: The stem ginger chocolate biscuits are back, with a kick.
Comment: It’s a spicy little one, but still packs a whole lot of flavour in between the heat. Lovely balance and so much potential.
