Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Hello Autumn, leaf mulch, distant wood fires, roasted hazelnuts and creamy oak. There’s a little coffee grind, then a subtle sherry character, spice follows.
Palate: Autumnal sweetness, iced finger biscuits soaked in sherry, with raisins and figs. Coffee in tiramisu now. Honey and goat’s cheese on rye. A nutty, woody edge hits, candy coated almonds.
Finish: Long and spiced finish, the sherry, ginger and a chocolate topped cappuccino.
Comment: Hip flask material for a warming reviving stop in the countryside.
8.8
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Nutty and decadent. Salted caramel and peanut butter spread across toast. Some dried raisins and sultanas.
Palate: Faint hits of strawberry compote and more of the toast. Caramel sweetness comes to the fore. Hazelnuts and almonds.
Finish: Spicy. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Sits down and tells you stories of the winter to come.
Comment: One for the sweet-folk. Flavours are developed in a really classy way though and is not too rich.
