Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Light and mild. A delicate citrussy note. Touch of lemon posset.
Palate: Fruity like a bowl of mixed sweets. Hint of liquorice. Nice lingering spiciness.
Finish: Dry, spicy, nutty.
Comment: A very pale whisky, tastes young but has got a fresh citrussy elegance which would make it a nice dram to be enjoyed on a summer evening. Why not on the rocks?
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Very light nose with a hint of lemon and some rye flour but fairly insubstantial. Fragrant with water. Oak is firm and dry. Immature.
Palate: Limeade, quite grippy and tight and quickly runs out of steam. Strangely like a young Jamaican rum, all perfume and attack.
Finish: Slightly metallic again.
Comment: A wraith of a whisky. The spirit is OK, the cask has let it down.
