Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Slightly smoky fruitiness (cherries?).
Palate: Lightly syrupy. Very fruity and winey. A firm embrace of big flavours. Quite sweet.
Finish: Fruity, perfumy, almost jammy. Lingering.
Comment: The port threatens to dominate the malt. I can't recall tasting such a powerful wood finish. Could seduce people who believe they don't like whisky. For that purpose, I would use this rather than a lighter, blander, malt.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Nutty malt with a red jelly centre. Cakey and mellow.
Palate: Very sweet and rounded. Redcurrants and peaches with nuts sprinkled on top.
Finish: Malty. Soft.
Comment: Has retained the distillery character but given it a sweeter lift.
