Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Tense and austere despite some malty sherried notes. Lightly floral, slightly green and grassy with nut (young Hunter Valley Semillon) roasted almond and hint of sappy sawn timber.
Palate: Subtle dryness with light seashore aromas, moss and some sherry slickness mid-palate. Lean.
Finish: Decent weight if a little short.
Comment: A good Teaninich, austere, grassy yet with an extra dimension.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Lightly toasty. Slight smokiness. Fragrant. Very fresh.
Palate: Slightly chewy. And toffeeish. Distinctly fruity. Then peppery. Very lively.
Finish: Just a hint of appetising herbal bitterness. Gunpowder tea?
Comment: Not much subtlety, but I always enjoy its big, confident, flavours.
