Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Light and gentle. Fresh made Matcha tea, vanilla sugar, a grain edge to it – HobNob biscuits covered with milk chocolate.
Palate: Again gentle and light, hints of grain, malt extract and more vanilla custard notes. Plenty of sweetness here and fruit sugar. Apple compote with nutmeg.
Finish: Big and mouth coating with lots of sweetness, vanilla and caramel layered with pink wafers.
Comment: A lovely engaging blend that has been well put together and easy to drink.

Taster Becky Paskin

Nose: Bright acacia honey and zingy green apple with a savoury note of biscuits and dusty malt bins.
Palate: A soft, enveloping palate crammed with orchard fruits: juicy conference pears and fleshy peaches. There’s a lovely balance between spirit and oak, with a touch of wood spice and Shreddies as well toward the finish.
Finish: Toffee apples and toasted oak chips.
Comment: It’s that well integrated I would never have guessed Tequila had gone near this.
