Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Fruit salad: green grapes, ripe banana, red apple, honeydew melon. Pear drop, fresh root ginger and some delicate, earthy sage.
Palate: Medium-full. Beautifully well-rounded ripe summer fruits, with brown sugar milk tea, white chocolate and toffees. Freshly baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Rice cakes with apricot preserve.
Finish: Long. Fades on the apricot jam note.
Comment: All the flavours of an afternoon cream tea in a bottle. I really enjoyed this – it’s an excellent blend!
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Caramel, layers of wood varnish, almond flakes and apple slices. Honey is drizzled on top, with a smidge of physalis, old and dry wood appears in the back.
Palate: Mouthcoating, with cinnamon snap biscuits, poached pear, marzipan, the forest floor on a hot day. All wrapped up with walnut and peppery heat.
Finish: Lingering heat, the old dry wood is back, a hint of honey and old vegetables.
Comment: There’s a slightly confusing note in here that I can’t quite put my finger on. Nonetheless, it’s tasty.
