Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Wonderful caramel on the first nosing, sweet and very inviting. You wouldn’t guess this was a whopping 67.3%. Water brings a little sanity, with a softening of the caramel and promotion of some delicious vanilla tones.
Palate: Parma violets, buttery and very distinct sweetcorn, dusted in soft brown sugar, a molasses note, then into a drier, earthy pepper note.
Finish: The strength will leave this one lingering for some time.
Comment: Monstrous whiskey making here. Someone pass me my elephant gun. I think I’ll need it.
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Coke with white rum, Christmas pudding ready to be lit with brandy butter waiting closer to you than the pudding itself. Sweet and inviting.
Palate: Seriously sweet, this gives very rich and tasty flavours of dark chocolate with rum and raisin filling. Needs water to stop it drying out fully.
Finish: Sadly a one dimensional finish of nutmeg brings this dram to a pretty abrupt full stop.
Comment: Not complex enough, but well balanced.
