Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Wet tree bark, earthy/mossy notes, deep rich leaf tobacco, molasses and wet paper.
Palate: Cherry pie filling, liquorice, a touch of menthol, and moist oak. Very dry, with only a touch of residual sweetness.
Finish: Sour cherries and tobacco notes coat the palate, with an earthy/rooty spice.
Comment: Definitely one for Dry Manhattans, this. Not as immediate as the other whiskies reviewed from this flavour POV, but I happen to like my Manhattans a little drier…

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Pine kitchen cleaner gives way to new Christmas tree and that’s about it. There are some sweeter notes hidden away, but they take a while to come out: vanilla, yellow flowers and some petrichor.
Palate: Mille-feuille dusted with icing sugar, clear apple juice and some zest lime tones in the background.
Finish: The lime is dominant with oak giving this good foundations.
Comment: Sweet and a little different.
