Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Roasted pineapple, golden syrup, camphor wood, baked banana, and cinnamon stick. Beneath it all there’s peaches in syrup.
Palate: Full bodied. Ripe mango, pineapple and passionfruit dipped in milk chocolate. With time on the palate, malted milk and cinder toffee emerge, developing into chewy toffee and honey-roasted peanuts. Creamy and fat, like white chocolate.
Finish: Long. The tropical notes subside eventually, leaving chocolate-dipped peanuts, then finally sultana and green apple.
Comment: I’ll be buying a bottle.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Like a walk in the countryside on a hot summer’s day, with wildflowers, heather and hay bales, followed by sweet vanilla fudge.
Palate: Slightly over-done brioche French toast, drizzled with bourbon-infused maple syrup and vanilla cream. Light, sweet barbequed notes, with buttery saltiness and bitter nutty dark chocolate.
Finish: The bitterness lingers, but the overriding note is that buttery sweetness.
Comment: One to sit and sip as the more time you spend with it, the more it opens up and delivers greater complexity.
