Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Vanilla yoghurt, honey drizzled on top with a sprinkling of chopped nuts. Giving me some seriously fancy breakfast buffet vibes.
Palate: Sweetness continues with butterscotch cookies, a little more vanilla, coconut shavings, dates and sultanas. There’s gently building oak spice.
Finish: More of that tangy oak spice here.
Comment: It’s quite fresh with lots of character – perhaps something to sit with for a while.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Celery salt, banana skin and stewed plums. Semolina pudding with applesauce. Perhaps a touch of rhubarb. Fresh figs and real honeycomb. A pinch of cocoa powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Palate: Medium bodied. Tinned pink grapefruit, mandarin and peach segments in their juices, with white grape. Drumstick lolly. A slight oiliness. White chocolate sweetness and a touch of vanilla oat biscuit.
Finish: Medium, with fruit salad character.
Comment: A touch hot at first, but showing some real promise.
