Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Intriguing nose, like a quick breakfast that combines a thick buttered slice of wholemeal toast with a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice. Also, a light grassiness.
Palate: Sticking with the breakfast, but now a buffet, with mini pastries, a fruit salad of mango and pineapple, and thick-cut orange marmalade on toast.
Finish: The slight saltiness from the butter returns here with a little ginger spice.
Comment: A nice level of complexity that plays between the salty and the sweet.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: A little closed at first, but eventually gives way to grainy aromas of Weetabix cereal, icing sugar, sweetened cashew nuts and raw naan bread dough.
Palate: Light bodied with a zippy and lively mouthfeel. Lemon and lime icing, light sponge cake.
Finish: A short yet perfumed sweetness, floral birthday cake icing, and mouth cooling.
Comment: A light and lively whisky that leans into the sweet grain character. Pleasant and uncomplicated.
