Tasting notes
Taster   Bethany Whymark
Nose: An over-ripe fruit bowl: apples, bananas, and apricots. Warm hayloft. Golden Grahams cereal, vanilla wafer biscuits, and malted milkshake. Tomato stalks, sweet parsnip, and elderflower wine. With water, vanilla and banana pudding.
Palate: Light-medium. Caramel and white chocolate shortbread. Lemon thyme and green tea leaves. Bruised apples, fruit scones, and apricot jam.
Finish: Short, on green tea with honey, and dried apple pieces.
Comment: An interesting balance of sweet and herbal notes.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Slightly prickly at first. With time, honeydew melon, malted barley, pear drop, and gooseberry jam. Green oak, pine sap, raw sourdough, olive oil, crayons. Then cannoli aromas of sweet pastry, sweet ricotta filling, milk chocolate and pistachio.
Palate: Medium-light body. A touch hot, but honey sweetness does well to balance it. Opens up with time to apricot jam, poached pear, Greek yoghurt, blackberry jam, and cream cake with caramel.
Finish: Short-medium, on cream cake.
Comment: A bit feisty, but the flavours are solid.
