Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A creamy start then creosote on hot wood, dried fruits and a sooty thread of smoke. Behind is a melon-like softness. Even better with water. Burnt toast, sultana, fruit cake. Complex.
Palate: A touch of smouldering wood, Arbroath smokie, soft fruits and then bitumen and soot.
Finish: Black olives in brine.
Comment: A fantastic dram and proof that Bowmore is back.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Pungent, definitely coastal. Creosote. Touch of TCP. Tarry rope. Kippers. Hint of broom.
Palate: Silky and soft. A well integrated sherry influence. Floral. Candied grapefruit. Plum jam.
Finish: Long, lazily fading out on fruity and liquoriced notes. With light smoke floating around.
Comment: A beautiful Islay malt in a sherry refill dressing. Rich aromatic development, great combination of strength and sweetness.
