Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Leathery, slightly charred. Muscular and powerful with a savoury note. Slightly meaty with touch offireworks. Raisins with a hint of PX. Autumnal.
Palate: Robust, lightly smoky and definitely meaty. Bovril.Intense with huge layering of flavour. Liquorice, shiitake mushroom.
Finish: Deep and long.
Comment: Highly recommended.
8.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky, sour. Cider cellar. Wet soil. Mushrooms. A hint of chicken broth.
Palate: The same sourness as on the nose. Pretty tough on the tongue. Grippy oak and not much more.
Finish: Dry, tangy.
Comment: One more example of unbalanced oakiness. That sensation of nosing and tasting oak juice is notvery exciting.
