Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Big on the oak, like a recently polished table. A little malt and reminiscent of an Eccles cake, buttery pastry and currants.
Palate: Crisp but then bags of spice to make the mouth water.
Finish: Lingering with spices.
Comment: Very complex and demanding, but great fun.
8.2
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense. Oaky. Polished floor. Bee wax. Bread dough. Develops on nutty notes. An interesting complexity. Sultanas and almonds.
Palate: Big, muscular, sharp. Spices explode like fireworks. All in a tight oak frame.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Ginger, nutmeg. Dry almonds in the back.
Comment: An assertive character. A complex nose, a less enticing palate though. But water cuts the edge and makes it conversational. Needs time to 'relax'
