Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy. Floral. Freesia, peony. Opens on fruit and spices. Cooked rhubarb with strawberries, orange curd. And a delicate spicy festoon (ginger and white pepper).
Palate: Smooth, round, satin-like, mouthcoating. Complex and elegant. Oak is perfectly integrated.
Finish: Dry, spicy. With a nutty touch.
Comment: Rich and well-structured.The nose is very expressive, the palate is more restrained but there’s a lot to enjoy in this dram.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fragrant, dried citrus peel, talcum powder, a Highland gift shop:all pot pourri and scented candles.
Palate: Silky. Another that suggests a long, slow, maturation cycle. Pecan, the pot pourri note, spiced apple sauce. Starts sweet and though it dries a little abruptly it has a honeyed elegance to it.
Finish: Crystallised ginger in syrup.
Comment: Balanced and gentle.
