Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: At first, a distinctive fudgy note, closer to tablets. Then becomes malty with a grassy note. Wet hay.
Palate: Sweeter than expected. A smooth but vivid texture. More fruit than on the nose. Cooked plums in a gingery syrup.
Finish: Dry, warm and spicy. Slightly sherbety.
Comment: A lively character, delivering more than the first nose lets you expect. The alcohol is perfectly mastered.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Odd, slightly sweaty start then berries, banana, green grapes. Vanilla to the fore but seems fragile.
Palate: Starts spicy(cinnamon and allspice) with a slight soapiness, but gets sweeter and juicier as it progresses. Lightly perfumed.
Finish: Gentle light, floral.
Comment: Couldn't be more different from the other Highland Park. That's casks for you!
