Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: That tomato smell as soon as you pick one from the stalk. French polish, beeswax. Some fresh burning wood.
Palate: Very chewy and oaky. Dark fruits with almost plum pudding.
Finish: Mouth-coating glory.
Comment: A great whisky and one to share.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Deep with classic fruit cake notes. Some woodsmoke underneath along with liquorice, tomato leaf and varnish.
Palate: Sultanas and chocolate-covered raisin. Layered with some rose petals and a chewy quality. Just enough grip to strike a balance between spirit and cask oak.
Finish: Long and thick.
Comment: It’s big, it’s oaky but it’s lovely (because it’s balanced).
