Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Hits you with that big Islay peat smoke. A little light vanilla mixed with salt spray.
Palate: Quite gentle given the nose. More aromatic peat and that sweet vanilla note comes through.
Finish: Drying and salty.
Comment: Best savoured on a beach during a long autumn evening – preferably on Islay.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Clean and very open. Salty. Rockpools in the morning light. Peat oils and a dried lavender like fragrance. Tarry with water. Light all the way.
Palate: Purple peat smoke rising from the beach. Soft and layered with a little vanilla smoothness before pepper burnt timbers and creosote.
Finish: Light salty.
Comment: Lovely balance. Delicate in its own way.
