Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Orange Smarties! Very candied then comes balsa wood, dust and very high alcohol burn. Despite that, it's a little dull. Water makes it slightly musty with a note reminiscent of woollen jumpers.
Palate: Much, much better than the nose. Quite high-toned: powdered almond, chalk, grass; then the sweetness unfolds into gentle, pure apricot fruit.
Finish: Jalapeno peppers. Slightly grubby.
Comment: Not quite enough interaction between wood and spirit.
7.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy. Slightly butyric. Boiled vegetables. Dry hay. White chocolate.
Palate: A bit harsh. Astringent. Cereal bowl. Honey comb. Pear compote.
Finish: Lingering but astringent. Drying on toasted nuts.
Comment: The strength is a bit aggressive. And oak is not well-integrated. Tastes like a too young fellow.
