Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Chocolate mints. Dark chocolate. Wax paper. Straw.
Palate: Chocolatey. Crunchy. Root ginger. White pepper.
Finish: Hot. Alcoholic. Aggressive.
Comment: I would never have identified this as an Auchentoshan. Proves 'the Glasgow malt' has plenty of character, but this expression lacks subtlety.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A strange nose: farmyards and mash gas to start, then malt extract, damp raffia and then a dominant raisin-like Marsala-type note.
Palate: Sweet and slightly burnt treacle toffee. Slightly unbalanced.
Finish: Dry and crisp. Char.
Comment: Decent but lacking true balance.
