Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Frank Cooper's marmalade, stewed oranges with brown sugar syrup. A little tomato stalk bitterness.
Palate: Plenty of oak here. The wood sap grips the tongue. Burnt sugar.
Finish: Short with that wood lingering.
Comment: A big whisky for wood fans or that last dram before bed.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense. Rich oak. Thick cut marmalade. Candied chestnuts. Bittersweet chocolate.
Palate: Crisp and grippy. So oaky. As if you were chewing wood chips. Very bitter and harsh like sanding paper.
Finish: In the same tonality.
Comment: I had a suspicion at first nose. Then it seemed to open on rich aromas. But the palate unfortunately confirmed my apprehension. Can't see the point in drinking wood!
