Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Grassy, tangy. Quite biting. Vanilla infused lemon balm. Distant smoke. Some creamy notes. More smoke on time. Creosote.
Palate: Dry and tangy. The smoke arrives, loaded with spices. Ginger, white pepper. A vivid fizziness.
Finish: Spicy, dry, fizzy, sooty.
Comment: Another Laphroaig and apparently a twin of the previous. Does not have the balance of the previous one.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Hot raffia/balsa, light lemon/green orange, then comes dampened peat fire. Grows in smokiness with water, tabac blonde but also a youthful chalky edge.
Palate: A little plain simple with an almost anorexic quality. Brasso, big smoke, green chilli. Some sweetness half-way, then hay.
Finish: Hot and smoky.
Comment: Can’t help but thinking this would be better with more time in cask.
