Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: High nose-burn without water. Very buttery with lots of top-notes: freesia, citrus peels, jasmine, lilac, estery, green pear, dolly mixtures.
Palate: Very sweet and hot without water but jammed full of fruit. Slight pooling of fruits in centre.
Finish: Citric and punchy. Short.
Comment: Call me a wimp if you want, but the high alcohol has just blurred everything here.
7.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Light, tangy. Mustardy. Spirity. Dry hay, mint. A touch of tangerine. Water enhances a butyric note.
Palate: Sweet at start then developing on mustard and spices. Biting. Fresh oak. A musty note.
Finish: Lingering and spicy. A bitter edge with water.
Comment: Quite an energetic guy which needs water to be tamed. A classic light Speysider, lacking elegance though.
