Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Resiny, earthy. Sour fruit like cider apples. The cereal character is not obvious at first.
Palate: Sweet, oaky. Cider notes. Caramelised apples. With water, a mushroom touch.
Finish: Dry, spicy, slightly astringent.
Comment: Unusual profile for a grain whisky. More reminiscent of a calvados. Oak is too blatant. Water wipes it out.
7.3
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Pinkish hue and an aroma of rhubarb, red apple, fruit compote, pomegranate juice but all of them teetering on the edge of mouldiness.
Palate: Rich with an assertive oiliness from the supporting oak. Rich and spicy: cinnamon stick. Slick and tongue-coating.
Finish: Short and overly dry.
Comment: Split into spirit on one side and wood on the other.
