Tasting notes
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Bright tropical fruits of physalis and melon give way to funky fruit – just-baking banana bread. Paving slabs after an April shower, with spring blossom drifting down from the trees.
Palate: Satin-like and chewy, before becoming drying, spicy and tannic. Sour orange and lager give way to sawdust and black pepper that concentrates on the tip of the tongue.
Finish: Szechuan pepper tingles from the lips to the roof of the mouth, leaving drying banana.
Comment: Fabulous fruit bumped this up the charts.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Oh hello tinned fruit salad, straight back to childhood, with Tip Top cream and honey. Carrot cake mixture. Almost a cider press note too.
Palate: Big and well defined, all that fruit hits you first then it gives way to a dry wood note, a little tobacco too. Those candied cherries, almost sweet and sour at the same time.
Finish: Hold for a little with those spices then slips away leaving toffee pennies.
Comment: One for the end of the summer, a herald of autumn.
