Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Grassy. Lemon balm. Touch of aniseed. Quite prickly but clean. Opens up on fruit notes (cider, lemon zest).
Palate: Sweet but assertive. Flowing nicely on the tongue. Pineapple drop. Faint smoke in the back.
Finish: Dry, grassy.
Comment: A kick you up dram. Becomes more interesting with a dash of water. To keep for a wintery miserable day.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light as rainwater. Needs time for a lint-like aroma to emerge followed by melon, oyster liquor, wet bracken and light smoke. Hint of phenols, though it's more ozone than fire. Swimming pool.
Palate: Good feel. Much sweeter than the nose and the smoke also comes through, adding another dimension, but it falls apart easily and quickly.
Finish: Bandages.
Comment: Good but pretty tired.
