Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Apricot yoghurt, honey-coated muesli with candied peanut and applesauce. Yolky crème brûlée (yet to be fired), with nutmeg, Swedish cardamom custard buns and beeswax. Some ephemeral red berry notes, too.
Palate: Medium bodied and concentrated. Baked red apple, orange oils, candied almond and vanilla sponge with a damson plum jam.
Finish: Medium-long. The red apple and candied almond notes linger to the end.
Comment: A very mature, well-balanced and well-integrated blended malt.
8.2
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: A light stem ginger and chocolate biscuit, with syrupy dates, vanilla custard and orange zest.
Palate: It gets a little spicier here, with a cinnamon stick, fresh ginger, fruity chocolate sponge with dates and raisins and single cream on top.
Finish: More of that vanilla custard, but with a whole lot of spice.
Comment: Anything that combines chocolate and spice is a winner in my book!
