Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Oily/waxy with dried apricot, vanilla, heather, wild herbs and mink oil. A touch of light peatiness. With water it louches like absinthe. Beautiful, but slightly alarming.
Palate: Medium-bodied, but a real mouthfiller which coats and clings to the palate. There's smoke, that lovely oiliness and a fruity sweetness. Ripe, rich.
Finish: Dry, peppery and long.
Comment: A top example from one of the greats.
8.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sweetish seaweed.
Palate: Lightly creamy. Viscous. Creamed spinach with toasted almonds.
Finish: Sweet lemons. Sea salt.
Comment: A surprisingly sweet expression of Clynelish. Lots of flavour and plenty of charm.
