Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Like walking into a dunnage warehouse, antique wardrobes. Dark fruit and a little oak spice.
Palate: Plenty of oak here. Dry, astringent notes then trail mix. Plenty of mixed spices here and creamy oak.
Finish: Long and juicy.
Comment: Just the right balance between the sherry notes and oak for me. Spot on.
8.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky. Dark wood, walnut stain. Dunnage warehouse. Prune. Dates.
Palate: Crisp, dry. As the nose let expect, oak dominates. Bittersweet. A sherry character. Lots of dried fruit. Spicy. A touch of chilli. Ginger and nutmeg.
Finish: Lingering. Spicy and oaky.
Comment: Deep and rich. The sherry has overwhelmed the distillery character. But a beautiful oaky expression. And a characterful profile.
