Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy. Very fruity. A mix of not totally ripe apricot and bergamot. There is an elegant balance between tartness and sweetness. In the back, a hint ofchicken broth. A touch of coconut.
Palate: Dry and crisp. Raw silk texture. A slight astringency gives way to a luscious explosion of exotic fruit. Pineapple and passion fruit sprinkled with ground ginger.
Finish: Warm dry, spicy.
Comment: Obviously a Bourbon cask maturation. Fruit flavours are elegantly displayed.
8.4
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Masses of soft fruits and maturity on show. Starts off with green mango, crystallised pineapple and banana becoming increasingly tropical as it develops. Oak in balance.
Palate: Medium weight, with good pooling of those fruits in the middle of the tongue. As it develops there's old waxed paper. Best neat as it is just showing its age a little.
Finish: Fruity but fades.
Comment: Balanced and mature with great tropical fruit character.
