Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky. Damp warehouse. A floral and leafy note like geranium. Cooking apples. Touch of cider apple as well.
Palate: Crisp and light. Sweet maltiness. Stewed prunes. Fudge. The oak grip is present all the way without dominating. Drying on soft spices. Water brings out an earthy flavour.
Finish: Dry, medium long.
Comment: Dry, medium long. Comments: Good structure, good balance. The alcohol is well-mastered. Ha an Autumnal profile.

Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: The aromas were bouncing around - hard sugar candy and newly sanded floorboards. Apples wrapped in paper and stored in wooden boxes and cinnamon sticks.
Palate: Cedar wood and quite dry. Leather belt and biltong beefiness. Water brought out more juiciness and malt.
Finish: A grilled warmth with hazelnuts towards the end.
Comment: I think the age explains the chameleon character but I enjoyed its cheekiness.
