Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, fruity. Candied pineapple. Vanilla toffee. Lemon posset. Gently toasted almonds.
Palate: Sweet, velvety. Honey and toffee. Lemon balm and herbal notes. A good malty core.
Finish: Minty and spicy. Clean and crisp.
Comment: Rich, well structured. A good bourbon cask maturation.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Barley sugar and orange barley water with a hint of almond. Attractive, but a little unforthcoming.
Palate: Lightly oily and tongue coating. Hazelnuts, cherry stone then marmalade and soft toffee. Decent grip as well.
Finish: Crisp.
Comment: After a strangely flat start it builds in energy but somehow just lacks definition. Very pleasant though.
