Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Luscious floral and fruity notes. Pear drop, juicy granny smith, all cheered up with fresh aniseed and a hint of chamomile. Rich and complex.
Palate: Silky, smooth and caressing.Delicately sherbety. Very refreshing.Star anis, juicy pears, almond milk and a distant note of asparagus.
Finish: Long, delicate and gently spicy.
Comment: More an impressionist than a figurative. Takes you for a scented walk in an orchard on a warm summer afternoon. Or in Monet’s garden?

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Soft fruits/fruit salad, Galia melon, guava balanced by a slight chaff-like dustiness. Peach skin.In time cream. Water brings out a slight grassy, meadow-like note. Clean.
Palate: Very sweet with an immediate hit of coconut ice cream, then tropical fruits, elderflower. Best neat. Spring like.
Finish: Fruity!
Comment: There’s something about Duncan Taylor and creamy whiskies. It’s almost a house style, which is good.
