Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy, floral. Delicate and intense. Honeysuckle. Complex with layers of soft fruit lusciously unwinding, set in oak like diamonds in gold. Cedar wood.
Palate: Velvety, smooth and fruity. Oak is completely integrated. Some rancio. Dried fruit.
Finish: Long, dry with a dark chocolate bitterness. Cubèbe pepper.
Comment: A superb old Speysider profile. Complex, elegant, reminds me of a grande champagne cognac.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A pleasing hint of emulsion paint, then sweet cereal (sugar puffs) sappy grass and fresh herbs. There's a whiff of lemon thyme before olive oil/rum oils come through. Balanced.
Palate: Clean and nutty to start with a linden blossom touch. Crisp up before a gentle weight of fruit presses down in the tongue. Creamy.
Finish: Sweet and soft.
Comment: It's all quite subtle, but rewarding.
