Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Earthy, with huge mineral notes, some wet slate and a touch of sand. There is an underlying peppery/savoury element, which works nicely.
Palate: Masses of spice, earthy peppercorns and sweet tobacco. It’s just a guess, but I suspect the rye content is quite high.
Finish: Lingering dryness, with the peppery notes winning through against some dark chocolate and wet oak.
Comment: About as Uncle-Sam-chewing-a-cheroot as you could get. A 4th of July special.
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Strong notes of richly polished antique furniture, some red fruit jam in the making and old cigar boxes, but all given a boost with a youthful energy and herby vibrancy.
Palate: A drying and lingering palate gives tobacco, sweet rum notes and some Dr Pepper tones. A hint of fiery Jamaican ginger beer gives the palate length and depth.
Finish: South London skunk wafting from a parked car mixed with well steamed spring greens and a big hit of oak.
Comment: Is this called Camberwell Carrot?
