Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Plenty of oak, creamy coconut and vanilla ice cream. Hints of dried red chilli. Then candied orange peel, marmalade and pancakes with maple syrup. Saddle leather.
Palate: The sweetness holds with acacia honey on white toasted bread. Linseed oil notes and walnut skins. That orange citrus edge is here with raspberry jam.
Finish: Soft and fairly gentle, pretty long with vanilla and oak spices showing their hand.
Comment: A stunner, well balanced and all in good order.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Toasted pistachio, marshmallows and foam bananas, with just a hint of white pepper. Notes of cut grass are followed by baked green apples and vanilla custard.
Palate: White pepper dominates and there’s a gorgeous balance of orchard fruits, wood polish, pine cones and mixed herbs.
Finish: A chalky texture lengthens the finish with fresh herbal notes, pistachio and pear skin.
Comment: All the goodness of autumn, squeezed perfectly into a whisky bottle.
