Tasting notes
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Sour fruits and floor polish. Wet wood smoke, fennel and an underlying chalkiness. A dry, smoky and medical nose.
Palate: Chicory, fennel and sweet, smoked ham.
Finish: Drying smoke.
Comment: Youthful, fun, smoked food character. A lack of the complexities that are brought on by aging can sometimes mean clarity. Has the clarity of a bell and is an immensely promising spirit.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A pinkish cast to it. Chimney smoke, with a hint of burning wool. Cleaning peat ashes out of the hearth, then sweet fruit comes in over the top.
Palate: Positive palate, wine gums mixed with coal dust, a light cereal note. Some rubber (sulphur) which might be a sign of youth.
Finish: Fruity.
Comment: It is young and showing great promise. Keep watching this with interest.
