Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: There is a meaty hint to this at first, Oxo cubes. It moves into more sweeter territory after a while, spun sugar and Demerara. There is a hint of spice too.
Palate: At first egg tart, nutmeg, custard, cream and a little malt note. The oak grips the tongue and there are spices at the back of the tongue.
Finish: Dry but complex.
Comment: A well balanced whisky with a lot going on.
8.7
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Initially, cold roast beef. Icing sugar emerges, with a hint of cloves.
Palate: Polished leather and more cloves, with nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon.
Finish: Dries in a leisurely manner to silky oak. Spice persists.
Comment: A polished and complex whiskey.
