Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Copper coins, a hint of metal polish, root vegetables and paraffin lamp wicks. Basically, the aroma of a Traders Outpost at the far reaches of the Klondike River.
Palate: Salty, with a large dose of pepper and sour cherries, plus a hint of parma violet and flat cola for good measure. This tastes distinctly old fashioned, like- wot-they-used-to-make.
Finish: Lingering notes of root beer, pepper and a metallic note.
Comment: It’s hard not to think of this being served by the shot in a rough and ready Western saloon somewhere in the late 1800s.
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Earthy notes of wet fallen leaves in Autumn with old copper and old oak. A hint of arnica gives some life to these deep aromas.
Palate: Pine and figs are apparent on the palate with the sort of botanical tones one would usually find in a spa.
Finish: Chocolate sponge cake with a side of vanilla custard, served on an old oak plate. A strange old dram.
Comment: Like a picnic in the woods but at the wrong time of year.
