Tasting notes

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Oil paints and pastels, clay and milk chocolate. Candied ginger and coffee cake. Curry leaf, cumin and coriander seed. Tarragon and black cherry. Cigar box.
Palate: Medium-light bodied. Intense blackberry cordial and toffee apple up front, with subtle peanut butter and coffee liqueur lingering behind. Liquorice and a touch of menthol, with anise.
Finish: Medium. Cooling menthol fades on cigar, anise and red apple.
Comment: complex, but will be better with more time to calm down.

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Beautiful crumbling vanilla rice pudding, thick-cut orange marmalade, apricot breakfast pastry with custard, hazelnut milk and tomato stalks.
Palate: Toasted brioche bun, milky chocolate fruit and nut bar, coconut body butter, pecan pie into leather chair. Heathery notes, green leaves and pencil sharpenings.
Finish: Toasted brioche, with fennel, then the aftertaste of an iron tablet. Medium to long.
Comment: Complex and well balanced. A drop of water gives more time to explore.
